    10-codes are utilized extensively by Police and Fire agencies throughout the United States.  The Associated Police Communications Officer's Association has devised an "official" list of 10-codes, however, agencies can (and usually do) change the interpretation of the codes as necessary.

Mississippi Highway Patrol
 
    Mobile units utilize 42.0200 for intercommunication with each other and also to communicate with sheriff bases and mobile units.  Sheriff bases and mobiles talk back to MHP units on 45.2200.  All MHP substations are also equipped to utilize 45.2200.  The Mississippi Tax Commission also utilizes the various high-band channels.
